Your own magic – A blessed day with Circe

How did you feel when you saw today’s tarot card image? I had to smile a little, because every time, and I mean every time, I pick up the Hexen-Tarot, Circe appears on the “Magician” card. This time, it was like meeting a friend for coffee. I invite you to join us. Order something and let’s chat.

“It’s been a long time since I last had friends here with me.” Circe smiles over the rim of her cup and lets their eyes share in her joy. “Do you know what the best thing about magic is?” She takes a sip and places her cup on the table in front of her. “It feels different for everyone. My magic, for example, feels like the stars and the earth are uniting within me. Everything hums and buzzes as if I were surrounded by thousands of bees. It is calming, and at the same time, I feel an incredible power. How is it for you?“ 

Circe takes her cup in both hands and inhales the rising steam from her coffee. She leans back, relaxed, and gives us space to think. Various words flash through my mind: power, knowledge, peace, universe, moon, sun, books, forest. They literally tumble over each other, and with them come smells, feelings, and images. Sometimes I feel the magic when I glance at the moon in the evening. Sometimes I feel like I can hear the stars twinkling. I feel the magic between the pages of books. It lives between the lines, in the space between the individual words and in the tiny space between two letters. Sometimes I feel the magic as soon as I leave the front door. I feel it in the rustling of the leaves as soon as the wind blows through them. All that and much more, that’s what magic feels like.

“But is that your own magic or is it magic in general?” Her gaze is challenging and friendly at the same time. “What is your own magic?” She looks at both of us and smiles encouragingly. I think about it again. How do you feel about this question? What is your own magic?

The more I think about it, the more I feel that I can hardly put my own magic into words. The clearest thing is that it is always there. It is in me and around me. Everywhere. It helps me to see more, feel more, hear more, and sense more. It helps me to connect and at the same time protects my innermost being. It is somehow everything, and it also lives in every line you read from me.

Our own magic is something very special. It is our life energy. It flows through us. It carries our desires and dreams, but also our fears. It allows us to act, to create things, or to turn thoughts into actions. Some people simply call it energy, but the more we perceive it as something magical, the more magic enters our lives. We become more open to small miracles. We perceive the world through the amazed eyes of a child. 

Think about the smallest thing that has made you happy lately. Also think about why you define it as small. Was it perhaps just a fleeting ray of sunshine that made the air sparkle? Or a ladybug that settled near you?

Whatever it is, once you have clearly articulated it, you will experience the effect of the “Blessed Day” card. Because it will be a blessed day. With every little thing, the day gets better and better. Once you focus on these little miracles, you will experience a change. Over time, you will notice more and more of them. The days will become more magical, more enchanting, and ultimately, you won’t have to do anything for it. With each of these little miracles, the magical feeling inside you will grow. It will lead you to further wonder and further magic.

Circe smiles at us and takes a short breath. “Take your time to think. Think about how you would describe this feeling.” Her gaze softens. „It is now time for you to go. I have to take care of my island again. You know, I’m always happy when you come to visit me. See you soon, my friends.“ The scene fades. We are back exactly where we were at the beginning of the post. Physically alone, but connected by magic. I’m also looking forward to our next meeting.
