Ace of Pentacles – Your path emerges as you walk it

Today, a memory flashes through my mind. It’s a real wake-up call. The Ace of Pentacles, our card of the day today, showed me the way to become self-employed back then. It was and is this option that opens up out of nowhere and tells you: “Go for it!” We’ve had this card as our card of the day many times before, and today it seems louder than it has been in a long time. Why is that? I’ll be happy to tell you, and maybe you’ll feel the same way afterwards.
I have spent the last few weeks building the website, thinking about what I want to offer, and the path I want to take as a freelancer. The various tarot readings, the gift vouchers, and the pay-it-forward option. All of this is in line with my values and my personal dream job. It is my contribution to helping people in this world.
When I started writing, I was in the middle of a depressive episode. At first, it was a step toward healing, but also toward sharing. I wanted to combine my illness with what really does me good. It was a long journey, and from the very beginning, which in retrospect I would describe as rather rudimentary, it has become something I am proud of. Back then, I was still in my little garden. I was on my own, protected by the walls of anonymity and isolation. But I was ready to take the first step through the gate to the outside world. I wanted to set out on a new life.
I walked the path, as far as I could see and as far as I dared. Step by step, I looked at where I was, where I came from, and where I wanted to go. In recent months, I’ve tried a few things: live streaming on TikTok, different video formats, AI support, adjusting daily posts, and a few other things. Much of this was hardly noticeable to the outside world, because I quietly tested what worked for me and what didn’t. Now I’m at a crossroads.
At the moment, I feel a sense of helplessness. The whole thing isn’t really taking off. My TikTok profile is still growing, but in much smaller steps. The steps are so tiny that I feel like I’m going backwards. Is it perhaps because I’ve strayed from the path? To be honest, creating videos for social media often felt like a chore. “You have to do this!” say the voices in my head. On top of that, I never felt like I was doing it right. How does the algorithm work? I can’t tell you. Sometimes it responds and sometimes it doesn’t. What really appeals to people? I don’t know. Does a video really need such a steep introduction, or can it be gentle? Do I have to show myself at regular intervals, or are my hands enough? This social media topic is exhausting, and my lack of understanding leads to a lack of motivation.
But somehow, there’s always a spark of joy. That moment when the video is finished and the hearts go up or there’s a friendly comment underneath. So maybe it’s really my discontent that’s getting in the way of my success? I wanted to do something I enjoy and not work out of a sense of obligation. Okay, then today I’ll let the Ace of Coins guide me, shoulder my baggage, and move on. Courageous and full of confidence. Maybe I just needed to experiment more? Let’s see where I can experience that again. Stay tuned for new posts on TikTok and Instagram, and please give your honest opinion.
As I write these lines, I feel like I’m being watched. Not in a creepy way, but it feels like someone is looking over my shoulder benevolently. It’s the owl from the “Learn the Truth” card. She looks at me and somehow I feel like I understand. I understand what the problem might be. Understood what was missing. She is a gentle companion. Her gaze also reminds me of a dear friend (if she reads this, she knows I mean her). There is a kindness in her gaze and the knowledge that we know our answers. We just have to ask ourselves the right questions. And we must have the courage to retrace our steps. When did we lose something, and where? What is it that doesn’t fit at the moment? The moment we formulate it, we also arrive at the solution. If we can explain what doesn’t suit us, then we can rephrase it into what does suit us.
Where are you on your journey right now? Do you know where you’re going, or do you need to explore first, like me? Maybe we can support each other. Sometimes it’s enough to just write down your thoughts.
Wherever your path takes you today, I wish you clarity and courage to continue on it. Be honest with yourself, and you will discover what you are missing and what you can change.
